CAPTIVIS is a 100% Danish-owned company that specializes in developing non-toxic traps for rats and mice.
It is important for us to develop traps where the animals do not suffer when they are killed. We have seen both traps where rats and mice simply are held until it is dead, and traps that inflicts damage on the animal without it being killed. We do not think that is OK! Likewise, we have learned that the common types of poison on the market not only spread further in the food chain, but also give those animals that have eaten the poison (or eaten animals with poison in) severe pain for several days until it is dead. Our trap gives a very powerful stroke to the neck so we are sure that the pest is dead immediately.
All development of the trap takes place in Denmark. Right from mechanics to electronics development. The production also takes place in Denmark, even the molds for injection molding are 100% Danish produced and of very high quality.
It has been important for us to make the trap as environmentally friendly as possible. An example is that several parts of the trap (cover, flap and HARBOR bottom) are produced from recycled post consumer plastic, which is collected from consumers and recycled. Where we, due to high loads, have had to use prime plastic, we have only used one type of plastic so that the trap can be easily recycled.
We want to be the cheapest solution in the long run, which we know we will quickly become if you count time, driving for trap control, subscriptions to pest controllers, etc. together.
